The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes TO KAFENEIO got a freekick which was hit by Chrisostomos Farmakis. Panos Sioufas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apostolikas Lagonikakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Apostolikas Lagonikakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Panos Sioufas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Apostolikas Lagonikakis took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Panos Sioufas. Panos Sioufas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Dimitris Vandis charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dimitris Vandis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of TO KAFENEIO booed when Apollon Apollonias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dimitris Vandis didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charis Agapakis in the 22nd minute of play forced Apollon Apollonias's goalkeeper Panos Sioufas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Thomas Raptis fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Apollon Apollonias's protests and gave Thomas Raptis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th match minute, Apollon Apollonias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Raptis to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Apostolikas Lagonikakis in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Panos Sioufas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Nikiforos Katsalis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. Panos Sioufas came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by TO KAFENEIO's Apostolikas Lagonikakis. But to his dismay, Apostolikas Lagonikakis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Apostolikas Lagonikakis was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, TO KAFENEIO's Apostolikas Lagonikakis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Panos Sioufas. Panos Sioufas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. After 58 minutes, Periklis Valianatos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Apollon Apollonias and the TO KAFENEIO players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Apollon Apollonias's Periklis Valianatos got a free kick in the 58th minute. Apostolikas Lagonikakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Panos Sioufas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. TO KAFENEIO made a substitution. Eustratios Lazaroglou replaced Chatziantoniou Kazantzidis. In the 67th minute, Apostolikas Lagonikakis made a precise shot to the right of Panos Sioufas. Apollon Apollonias's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. When Thomas Raptis was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 72 minutes had been played. In the 73rd minute, Thomas Raptis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 74 in the game by Apostolikas Lagonikakis from a close distance when the talented Panos Sioufas managed to make a qualified save. Apollon Apollonias's players were relieved. Anthimos Palaviaris kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Eustratios Lazaroglou managed to get in a good position for a shot. TO KAFENEIO's supporters rose to their feet, but Eustratios Lazaroglou was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Panos Sioufas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Apollon Apollonias's Panos Sioufas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apostolikas Lagonikakis in the 87th minute of play. Christodoulos Nalitzis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Panos Sioufas having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Dimitris Vandis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chrisostomos Farmakis didn't quite understand what happened when in the 92 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. In the 94th minute, Apostolikas Lagonikakis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Panos Sioufas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7.
