Lambros Kalikis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Dimitris Nekos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elimbos FC's Vassilis Evaggelliou couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 56th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ardosis. Giorgos Kesanopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apostolis Mouras in the 59th minute of play. If Ntinos Vernikos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ntinos Vernikos might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Giorgos Kesanopoulos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ntinos Vernikos ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Apostolis Mouras put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Giorgos Kesanopoulos. Ardosis's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ardosis walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
