Thodoris Vamvakeris didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dhrιmisa. In the 11th minute, Alkinoos Fanaras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Spyros Vourtzoumis was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 12th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Eugenios Barbounis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stathis Papadopoulos in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thodoris Vamvakeris saved Chelsea from getting behind. In the 24th minute, Ignatios Kabolis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 25 played minutes Dhrιmisa got a freekick which was hit by Orestis Salmatanis. Panagiotis Spazokefalos was a little too slow when Ignatios Kabolis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 1-1. If Stathis Papadopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thodoris Vamvakeris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenios Barbounis in the 47th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eugenios Barbounis made a kick off. Ignatios Kabolis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Panagiotis Spazokefalos having to interfere. If Nikos Sardelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stathis Papadopoulos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Thodoris Vamvakeris when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Stathis Mandrinos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Panagiotis Spazokefalos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. When Nikos Sardelis fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chelsea's protests and gave Nikos Sardelis a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Chelsea getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Nikos Sardelis hit a great ball. Thodoris Vamvakeris stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eugenios Barbounis's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Stathis Papadopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thodoris Vamvakeris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenios Barbounis, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Thodoris Vamvakeris made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Stathis Papadopoulos sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stathis Mandrinos in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Panagiotis Spazokefalos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Chelsea getting a freekick after 95 minutes play.
