Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Babbis Prinianakis in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Makis Kechagias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 5 minutes into the game, Apostolis Douzas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Makis Kechagias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Giannis Palavos got free with Fivos Gelis in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Giannis Palavos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fivos Gelis having to interfere. Giannis Palavos came free with the goalkeeper in the 14th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fivos Gelis could save by the left post. Vassilis Kirmizas's late challenge caught a stavrouliakos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vassilis Kirmizas helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of stavrouliakos booed when Alkolikos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vassilis Kirmizas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the match, stavrouliakos's Kyriakos Petrakos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fivos Gelis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Makis Kechagias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apostolis Douzas, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 26th minute, Kleon Negris got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

After some careless play in the Alkolikos FC defense, Giannis Palavos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fivos Gelis. The Alkolikos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fivos Gelis should have stopped the shot. 55 minutes into the match, stavrouliakos's goal looked a bit too open when Apostolis Douzas came free, but Makis Kechagias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kyriakos Petrakos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The attack was good, but when Kyriakos Petrakos in the 85th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Fivos Gelis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kyriakos Petrakos in the 87th minute of play. Giannis Palavos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fivos Gelis having to interfere. If Babbis Prinianakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
