When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Loukas Valassakis took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Sokratis Gryparis to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nikos Kabotsakis got free with Sokratis Gryparis in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antonis Koukodimos to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, Babbis Mavratos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KoPiDia and the Voliσnes players grew even worse after the yellow card. Babbis Mavratos hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind KoPiDia's goalkeeper Vaggelis Solakis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Errikos Chatzistavros kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After 66 played minutes KoPiDia got a freekick which was hit by Viktoras Kaikis. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Errikos Chatzistavros during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fotis Bousoulas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Vaggelis Solakis made a huge save. Sokratis Gryparis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Loukas Valassakis's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Errikos Chatzistavros in the 88th minute of play forced Voliσnes's goalkeeper Sokratis Gryparis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Apostolis Kostakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vaggelis Solakis having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Nikos Kabotsakis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
