After a defensive mix-up in KoPiDia's zone, Alexis Giannikos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vaggelis Solakis came out of the goal and Alexis Giannikos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 84 minutes into the game, Telis Chasiotis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Vaggelis Solakis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 87 minutes into the match, Melissia's goal looked a bit too open when Loukas Valassakis came free, but Nikos Zacharidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Melissia walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
