The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nikos Tziolis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sotos Megas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nikos Tziolis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apostolis Tsiartas, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Apostolis Tsiartas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nikos Tziolis having to make a save. When Apostolis Tsiartas came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Π.Σ. Καλαμάτα fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Apostolis Tsiartas couldn't finish the play. The wind increased when Giannis Stavrakoglou made the kick off in the second half. Giannis Stavrakoglou's late challenge caught a Π.Σ. Καλαμάτα's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giannis Stavrakoglou helped the player get up and apologised. Fotis Papaggelis charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fotis Papaggelis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fotis Papaggelis hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. ΠΡΟΠΟΝΤΙΣ Ν.ΜΑΡΜΑΡΑ's Nikos Tziolis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sotos Megas in the 87th minute of play. ΠΡΟΠΟΝΤΙΣ Ν.ΜΑΡΜΑΡΑ's attack was well implemented in the 95th minute, but when Giannis Stavrakoglou was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Π.Σ. Καλαμάτα played a much better game than ΠΡΟΠΟΝΤΙΣ Ν.ΜΑΡΜΑΡΑ and deserved their victory. The ΠΡΟΠΟΝΤΙΣ Ν.ΜΑΡΜΑΡΑ players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
