Chelsea F.C:s Achilleas Fotakoglou showed great skill when he stopped Evripidis Nikologiannis:s penalty. Evripidis Nikologiannis took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Achilleas Fotakoglou. Achilleas Fotakoglou dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Giannis Potamias in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Panos Stergalas saved MELATES F.C. from getting behind. Panos Stergalas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giannis Potamias in the 13th minute of play. Chelsea F.C's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Dimosthenis Tzalakostas 24 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Stavros Kidoniatis took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Panos Stergalas. Panos Stergalas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Dimosthenis Tzalakostas charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dimosthenis Tzalakostas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Efthimis Saravalakos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Panos Stergalas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giannis Potamias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Panos Stergalas having to interfere. Chelsea F.C's Achilleas Fotakoglou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dimosthenis Tzalakostas in the 42nd minute of play. Panos Stergalas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stavros Kidoniatis, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Panos Stergalas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giannis Potamias's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Giannis Potamias was the one to do the kick off. MELATES F.C.'s Panos Stergalas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save MELATES F.C. from getting a goal against them. In the 53rd minute, Giannis Potamias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Achilleas Fotakoglou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dimosthenis Tzalakostas, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Panos Stergalas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giannis Potamias in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Tasos Valassatos made a precise shot to the right of Achilleas Fotakoglou. Chelsea F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. MELATES F.C.'s Tasos Valassatos got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 70th match minute, Chelsea F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stathis Spinakis to maneuver through the defense. Chelsea F.C's Achilleas Fotakoglou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dimosthenis Tzalakostas in the 72nd minute of play. A collision led to MELATES F.C. getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Tasos Valassatos hit a great ball. Tasos Valassatos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Achilleas Fotakoglou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 86 minutes, Efthimis Saravalakos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chelsea F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Efthimis Saravalakos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Chelsea F.C's Stavros Tsiantakis got a free kick in the 87th minute. Dimosthenis Tzalakostas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Achilleas Fotakoglou having to interfere. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. MELATES F.C. were victorious despite being under pressure from Chelsea F.C for much of the match.
