Koulis Liras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Ken Troxler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Menelaos Kokkalopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 13 played minutes Rodiakos FC got a freekick which was hit by Pavlos Bouras. Theocharis Kottikas charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Theocharis Kottikas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to PANATHINAIKOS getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Prodromos Karalexopoulos hit a great ball. In the 26th minute Menelaos Kokkalopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ken Troxler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind PANATHINAIKOS's goalkeeper Ken Troxler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner ended in Giannis Manolas almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but PANATHINAIKOS's Ken Troxler did a great save. Giannis Vourlidas kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Menelaos Kokkalopoulos in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ken Troxler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The throw-in from Giannis Vourlidas in the 32nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Rodiakos FC's Giannis Drambas. After a rather tough play, Rodiakos FC's Menelaos Kokkalopoulos got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 33rd minute, Menelaos Kokkalopoulos fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, PANATHINAIKOS's goal looked a bit too open when Menelaos Kokkalopoulos came free, but Ken Troxler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to PANATHINAIKOS getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Giannis Vourlidas hit a great ball. In the 44thth minute of the game Menelaos Kokkalopoulos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PANATHINAIKOS's Ken Troxler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kostas Drakos was a little too slow when Theocharis Kottikas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Theocharis Kottikas to strike the kick off in the second half. Menelaos Kokkalopoulos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Ken Troxler when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of PANATHINAIKOS booed when Rodiakos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manos Kasidokostas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodiakos FC's Menelaos Kokkalopoulos got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Rodiakos FC's Pavlos Bouras got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 87th minute, Menelaos Kokkalopoulos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ken Troxler was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Koulis Liras showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 90 minute of play. After some careless play in the PANATHINAIKOS defense, Menelaos Kokkalopoulos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ken Troxler. The PANATHINAIKOS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ken Troxler should have stopped the shot. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
