The supporters of Atletico de Madrid booed when Belokomνti BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mark Vaes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mark Vaes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andreas Iakovidis having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikos Fragiadis in the 34th minute of play forced Belokomνti BC's goalkeeper Konstantinos Papagiotopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andreas Iakovidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mark Vaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the game, Atletico de Madrid's Omiros Simos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Konstantinos Papagiotopoulos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Belokomνti BC's Konstantinos Papagiotopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omiros Simos in the 41st minute of play. Konstantinos Papagiotopoulos came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Atletico de Madrid's Omiros Simos. But to his dismay, Omiros Simos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. The Belokomνti BC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Atletico de Madrid were winning 0-4.

The wind increased when Giannis Dimitropoulos made the kick off in the second half. Mark Vaes charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mark Vaes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The long shot by Valentinos Stamatopoulos in the 58th minute really tested Konstantinos Papagiotopoulos's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Paschalis Letsos kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Konstantinos Papagiotopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Omiros Simos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Belokomνti BC's Konstantinos Papagiotopoulos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Belokomνti BC from getting a goal against them. Konstantinos Papagiotopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omiros Simos, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute.
