The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Panathinaikos's goalkeeper Freddy Jerano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Eri Beer made the kick off in the second half. If Eri Beer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nikos Giannou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61stth minute of the game Eri Beer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but OL. DRAGONS's Alkinoos Fakkas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 65 minutes into the game, Eri Beer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Alkinoos Fakkas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Panathinaikos booed when OL. DRAGONS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Themistoklis Koutsilas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74thth minute of the game Eri Beer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but OL. DRAGONS's Alkinoos Fakkas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alkinoos Fakkas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eri Beer, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After 82 minutes, Efthimis Zanidis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Panathinaikos and the OL. DRAGONS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 82 played minutes Panathinaikos got a freekick which was hit by Efthimis Zanidis. In the 83rd match minute, OL. DRAGONS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kyriakos Aggelou to maneuver through the defense. Alkinoos Fakkas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eri Beer in the 85th minute of the match. When Eri Beer came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Panathinaikos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eri Beer couldn't finish the play. When the referee ended the match the Panathinaikos players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
