After a rather tough play, Sfinaskapa's Spyros Berzovitis got a free kick in the 5th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vassilis Mantas got free with Fanis Geronimidis in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 10 minutes into the match, IRAKLIS's goalkeeper Fanis Geronimidis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Timos Velopoulos. Timos Velopoulos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fanis Geronimidis came out and tried to block the shot, but Timos Velopoulos slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 10th minute. Markos Michalakos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alketas Pesmatzoglou having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, IRAKLIS's Markos Michalakos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alketas Pesmatzoglou narrowly saved just below the crossbar. IRAKLIS's Markos Michalakos got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Spyros Berzovitis fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sfinaskapa's protests and gave Spyros Berzovitis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 42nd minute Vassilis Mantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fanis Geronimidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute Sfinaskapa were awarded a corner. Notis Dimakoglou went to the cornerflag to take it. After a rather tough play, Sfinaskapa's Theodosis Stergiatos got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Timos Velopoulos to strike the kick off in the second half. Diogenis Pentaridis hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
