Mesta's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Miltos Vourexakis in the 24th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Markos Theriaklis in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kostas Alexoudis saved Blue Lions FC from getting behind. With a little luck, Mesta's Pantelis Kosmas got control of the ball when Stathis Klotsidis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Argyris Karagiannopoulos hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Kostas Alexoudis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lakis Papafotopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute.
