The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thodoris Kapogiannopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miltos Vourexakis in the 6th minute of the match. In the 8th minute Yousef El Arabi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thodoris Kapogiannopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miltos Vourexakis in the 10th minute of play forced Keraynos FC's goalkeeper Thodoris Kapogiannopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mesta's Pantelis Kosmas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Mesta from getting a goal against them. When Alekos Martinakis came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Keraynos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alekos Martinakis couldn't finish the play. In the 16th minute, Konstantinos Eleftheropoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miltiadis Theodosiadis in the 18th minute of play forced Keraynos FC's goalkeeper Thodoris Kapogiannopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mesta were furious when Miltiadis Theodosiadis was red carded, 31 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Thodoris Kapogiannopoulos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yousef El Arabi's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. In the 41st match minute, Keraynos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alekos Martinakis to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yousef El Arabi to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aggelos Samaras in the 50th minute of play forced Mesta's goalkeeper Pantelis Kosmas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Keraynos FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nikos Zouboulakis in the 51st minute. After taking down the ball on Keraynos FC's corner Nikos Zouboulakis fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pantelis Kosmas quite easily take care of the ball. Keraynos FC's Thodoris Kapogiannopoulos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Keraynos FC from getting a goal against them. Vladimiros Giasemakis kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Thodoris Kapogiannopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miltos Vourexakis in the 54th minute of the match. Mesta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Keraynos FC the free kick. The supporters of Mesta booed when Keraynos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aggelos Samaras didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Lakis Papafotopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Keraynos FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Mesta for a fine match.
