The audience thought a goal was coming when Güner Taşkınay got free with Thalis Kaliasis in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Babbis Tapinos took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gerasimos Kipouros. Gerasimos Kipouros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Thalis Kaliasis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Ofelio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thalis Kaliasis made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Güner Taşkınay sent off a good shot on target.

Thalis Kaliasis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Güner Taşkınay's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Thalis Kaliasis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Güner Taşkınay in the 75th minute of play. Gerasimos Kipouros was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Qi Sheng Kun capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Qi Sheng Kun really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. In the 80th minute, Güner Taşkınay ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thalis Kaliasis was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. Gerasimos Kipouros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Babbis Tapinos in the 83rd minute. In the 85th minute of the match, Babbis Tapinos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gerasimos Kipouros saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gerasimos Kipouros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Qi Sheng Kun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lazaros Papadamos might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thalis Kaliasis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
