Saku Eskola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pertti Jussilainen having to interfere. After 11 minutes, Aimo Lindberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Suntti and the Pockar players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pockar's Veikko Venäläinen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marko Meltoranta in the 19th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Joni Uusipaavalniemi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Veikko Venäläinen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 24 minutes into the game, Anssi Liimatainen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Suntti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pockar the free kick. After 25 played minutes Aleksi Paavola rounded FC Suntti's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. 30 minutes into the game, Santtu Mäkelä was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Suntti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pockar the free kick. Santtu Mäkelä hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 36thth minute of the game Anssi Liimatainen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pockar's Veikko Venäläinen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Veikko Venäläinen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marko Meltoranta, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anssi Liimatainen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pockar's Veikko Venäläinen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joni Uusipaavalniemi in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Eero Viinanen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute Joni Uusipaavalniemi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Veikko Venäläinen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ville Kiviharju got free with Veikko Venäläinen in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marko Meltoranta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Veikko Venäläinen made a huge save. When Anssi Liimatainen was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 75 minutes had been played. Marko Meltoranta hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. When Aleksi Paavola came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Pockar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aleksi Paavola couldn't finish the play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
