Timo Snellman kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Lasse Leppilampi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mennen FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lasse Leppilampi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommi Ollonen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Asko Hautaoja kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Ari Vehanen sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Kiikanmäki's Tommi Ollonen didn't even have to move. In the 16th minute, Teijo Jousmäki fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Hemmo Peltonen, passed just outside the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Mennen FC's zone, Teijo Jousmäki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hemmo Peltonen came out of the goal and Teijo Jousmäki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aaro Jokiranta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Vilppu Vehmanen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Antti Blom fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mennen FC's protests and gave Antti Blom a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Mennen FC's Antti Blom got a free kick in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lasse Leppilampi in the 36th minute of play forced Kiikanmäki's goalkeeper Tommi Ollonen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vilppu Vehmanen took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommi Ollonen. Tommi Ollonen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 46 minutes into the match, Kiikanmäki's goal looked a bit too open when Lasse Leppilampi came free, but Tommi Ollonen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vilppu Vehmanen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Tommi Ollonen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Vilppu Vehmanen made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Vilppu Vehmanen fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tommi Ollonen, passed just outside the right post. Jere Itäluoma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hemmo Peltonen having to interfere. Lasse Leppilampi scored 0-2 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommi Ollonen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mennen FC's goalkeeper Hemmo Peltonen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. During the 64th minute of the match Antti Blom completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Antti Blom a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Mennen FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Antti Blom hit a great ball. Johannes Huikari's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommi Ollonen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Kiikanmäki's Teijo Jousmäki got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Mennen FC's Vilppu Vehmanen got a free kick in the 76th minute. Ilmari Puistola lost his temper 80 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 80th minute, one of Kiikanmäki:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kiikanmäki. In the 82nd minute there was a penalty for Mennen FC. Ari Vehanen stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tommi Ollonen. 0-3. If Vilppu Vehmanen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Lasse Leppilampi came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Mennen FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lasse Leppilampi couldn't finish the play. 93 minutes into the game, Mennen FC's Lasse Leppilampi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommi Ollonen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lasse Leppilampi in the 98th minute of play forced Kiikanmäki's goalkeeper Tommi Ollonen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iivari Palenius charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iivari Palenius the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Mennen FC booed when Kiikanmäki was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 99 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iivari Palenius didn't get a good kick on the ball.
