With a little luck, FC Ribale's Juha-Pekka Multaharju got control of the ball when Lasse Leppilampi tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of FC Ribale booed when Mennen FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oliver Lahti didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aarne Villanen in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hemmo Peltonen saved Mennen FC from getting behind. 13 minutes into the game, Mennen FC's Antti Blom nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juha-Pekka Multaharju made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johannes Huikari in the 17th minute of play forced FC Ribale's goalkeeper Juha-Pekka Multaharju to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hemmo Peltonen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Untamo Turunen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elias Vikström during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 21 played minutes FC Ribale got a freekick which was hit by Elias Vikström. In the 27th match minute, Mennen FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antti Blom to maneuver through the defense. When Oliver Lahti fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mennen FC's protests and gave Oliver Lahti a yellow card for diving instead. After 29 played minutes Mennen FC got a freekick which was hit by Oliver Lahti. When Untamo Turunen came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the FC Ribale fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Untamo Turunen couldn't finish the play. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aarne Villanen to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Vikström in the 53rd minute of play forced Mennen FC's goalkeeper Hemmo Peltonen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Mennen FC defense, Aarne Villanen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hemmo Peltonen. The Mennen FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hemmo Peltonen should have stopped the shot. The FC Ribale fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when FC Ribale's Aarne Villanen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Johannes Huikari during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Johannes Huikari kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Aarne Villanen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hemmo Peltonen. That made the score 2-3 in the 66 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aarne Villanen in the 75th minute of play forced Mennen FC's goalkeeper Hemmo Peltonen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Mennen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Vikström came free, but Hemmo Peltonen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aarne Villanen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Hemmo Peltonen made a huge save. With his leg Hemmo Peltonen managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when FC Ribale's Aarne Villanen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 81 played minutes Mennen FC got a freekick which was hit by Johannes Huikari. Jari Viitala was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 84 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 83rd minute of the game. One of FC Ribale:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mennen FC:s goal. In the 86th minute there was a penalty for Mennen FC. Ari Vehanen stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Juha-Pekka Multaharju. 3-3. 89 minutes into the game, Mennen FC's Johannes Huikari nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juha-Pekka Multaharju made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3. A collision led to Mennen FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Lasse Leppilampi hit a great ball. Juha-Pekka Kangaskorpi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Hemmo Peltonen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Ribale's Aarne Villanen came free and shot a quick shot against goal 95 minutes in the game, fortunately Hemmo Peltonen had problems saving as it came toward the left post.
