After 14 minutes, Arsi Valtonen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Käyrälä and the Kiikanmäki players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th match minute, Käyrälä was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arsi Valtonen to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Käyrälä getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Ari Mikkola hit a great ball. Antti Teräs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tommi Ollonen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arsi Valtonen in the 20th minute of play. Tommi Ollonen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antti Teräs in the 24th minute of the match. Arsi Valtonen took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommi Ollonen. Tommi Ollonen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After some careless play in the Kiikanmäki defense, Antti Teräs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommi Ollonen. The Kiikanmäki fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommi Ollonen should have stopped the shot. Antti Teräs struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Tommi Ollonen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Käyrälä. The Kiikanmäki players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Käyrälä were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arsi Valtonen to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Arsi Valtonen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommi Ollonen was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Sauli Mäkelä made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jere Itäluoma in the 74th minute of play. A collision led to Käyrälä getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Käyrälä's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
