Spectators: 7886 (Terracing: 5915, Seating: 1814, VIP seats: 157) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Joonas Kinnunen kicked off to start the match. With a little luck, FC Ribale's Juha-Pekka Multaharju got control of the ball when Joonas Kinnunen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aarne Villanen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arto Jussila having to interfere. Joonas Kinnunen scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juha-Pekka Multaharju, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 20th minute of the match, Joonas Kinnunen got a very nice opportunity to score, but Juha-Pekka Multaharju was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. FC Ribale's Osmo Lydman got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aarne Villanen kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute Samuel Koivuniemi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juha-Pekka Multaharju saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joonas Kinnunen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Juha-Pekka Multaharju made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aarne Villanen in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arto Jussila prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Ukko Paavola came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Olympia 79 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ukko Paavola couldn't finish the play. Joonas Kinnunen scored 2-0 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juha-Pekka Multaharju, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Juha-Pekka Multaharju was a little too slow when Joonas Kinnunen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When Aarne Villanen fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Ribale's protests and gave Aarne Villanen a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Olympia 79 booed when FC Ribale was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aarne Villanen didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Joonas Kinnunen put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Juha-Pekka Multaharju. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joonas Kinnunen in the 68th minute of play forced FC Ribale's goalkeeper Juha-Pekka Multaharju to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olympia 79's Joonas Kinnunen got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 76th minute Ukko Paavola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juha-Pekka Multaharju saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juha-Pekka Multaharju didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joonas Kinnunen went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Juha-Pekka Multaharju showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joonas Kinnunen, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Juha-Pekka Multaharju took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otso Elovaara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juha-Pekka Multaharju made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joonas Kinnunen in the 87th minute of play. Toni Kaikkonen charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Toni Kaikkonen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 88th match minute, Olympia 79 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toni Kaikkonen to maneuver through the defense. Joonas Kinnunen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 93 minutes into the match, FC Ribale's goal looked a bit too open when Joonas Kinnunen came free, but Juha-Pekka Multaharju reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juha-Pekka Multaharju made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otso Elovaara in the 95th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Olympia 79 players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
