Vilppu Vehmanen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pertti Jussilainen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. If Vilppu Vehmanen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute, Vilppu Vehmanen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, FC Suntti's Pertti Jussilainen got control of the ball when Lasse Leppilampi tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Vilppu Vehmanen took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Pertti Jussilainen to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Lasse Leppilampi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mennen FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lasse Leppilampi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pertti Jussilainen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lasse Leppilampi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pertti Jussilainen having to interfere. Pertti Jussilainen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lasse Leppilampi in the 35th minute. In the 41st minute, Lasse Leppilampi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a left leg Pertti Jussilainen saved FC Suntti from getting behind. FC Suntti's Pertti Jussilainen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vilppu Vehmanen in the 68th minute of play. After 70 minutes, Vilppu Vehmanen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mennen FC and the FC Suntti players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Suntti booed when Mennen FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vilppu Vehmanen didn't get a good kick on the ball.
