With a little luck, Käyrälä's Sauli Mäkelä got control of the ball when Lasse Leppilampi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sauli Mäkelä showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilppu Vehmanen, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After 44 played minutes, Mennen FC's Patrick Kaltiainen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sauli Mäkelä came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. The Käyrälä fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sauli Mäkelä should have stopped the shot. There was no doubt that Mennen FC were the better team. Mennen FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
