Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Joonas Kinnunen took the kick off in the first half of the match. Joonas Kinnunen took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Veikko Venäläinen. Veikko Venäläinen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Olympia 79 booed when Pockar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lauri Suoste didn't get a good kick on the ball. Samuel Koivuniemi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Veikko Venäläinen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ukko Paavola went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After having played for 17 minutes, Joonas Kinnunen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olympia 79's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joonas Kinnunen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Veikko Venäläinen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ukko Paavola in the 23rd minute of play. Eero Viinanen kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otso Elovaara in the 47th minute of play forced Pockar's goalkeeper Veikko Venäläinen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Olympia 79 were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kalle Kivimäki stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Pockar defense, Joonas Kinnunen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Veikko Venäläinen. The Pockar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Veikko Venäläinen should have stopped the shot. Veikko Venäläinen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Koivuniemi in the 57th minute of the match. When Kalle Kivimäki fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pockar's protests and gave Kalle Kivimäki a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Pockar's Kalle Kivimäki got a free kick in the 61st minute. Joonas Kinnunen came free with the goalkeeper in the 63rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Veikko Venäläinen could save by the left post. After 65 played minutes Pockar got a freekick which was hit by Petri Kuusela. After 68 minutes of play, Olympia 79's Joonas Kinnunen made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Veikko Venäläinen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Veikko Venäläinen didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 73rd minute, which inside left pole to 0-6. With a little luck, Pockar's Veikko Venäläinen got control of the ball when Joonas Kinnunen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Veikko Venäläinen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Toni Kaikkonen in the 78th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Pockar's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Koivuniemi came free, but Veikko Venäläinen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ukko Paavola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pockar's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Joonas Kinnunen scored to the left of an out of position Veikko Venäläinen, making the score, 0-7. Joonas Kinnunens short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Veikko Venäläinen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet as Joonas Kinnunen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Veikko Venäläinen. That made the score 0-8 in the 90 minute of play. Joonas Kinnunen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Veikko Venäläinen made a huge save. 95 minutes into the match, Ukko Paavola had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Veikko Venäläinen. Pockar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ukko Paavola was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9.
