Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Vilppu Vehmanen got the match started through his kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vilppu Vehmanen in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Veikko Venäläinen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 15 minutes into the match, Mennen FC's Lasse Leppilampi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Veikko Venäläinen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Petri Kuusela hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After having played for 17 minutes, Vilppu Vehmanen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mennen FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vilppu Vehmanen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lasse Leppilampi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Veikko Venäläinen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Eero Viinanen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pockar's Veikko Venäläinen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vilppu Vehmanen in the 23rd minute of play. Pockar's Petri Kuusela got his second yellow card of the match in the 23rd minute. The referee ordered Petri Kuusela off the ground. The supporters of Mennen FC booed when Pockar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petri Kuusela didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Mennen FC's zone, Kalle Kivimäki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hemmo Peltonen came out of the goal and Kalle Kivimäki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 38 minutes into the game, Pockar's Kalle Kivimäki nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hemmo Peltonen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Saku Eskola hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute Vilppu Vehmanen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Veikko Venäläinen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
Veikko Venäläinen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilppu Vehmanen, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vilppu Vehmanen in the 57th minute of play forced Pockar's goalkeeper Veikko Venäläinen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Mennen FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Patrick Kaltiainen hit a great ball. Lasse Leppilampi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Veikko Venäläinen having to interfere. After 72 minutes of play, Pockar's Kalle Kivimäki made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hemmo Peltonen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Oskari Askolin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Hemmo Peltonen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 86 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pockar! Hemmo Peltonen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kalle Kivimäki in the 92nd minute of play. Pockar's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
