A collision led to Lindal IFK getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Joonatan Miettinen hit a great ball. Jaakko Lamminen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Kari Harinen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miska Helavuori, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Juha-Pekka Jämsänen's late challenge caught a Paksal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juha-Pekka Jämsänen helped the player get up and apologised. 35 minutes into the match, Paksal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Miska Helavuori came free, but Kari Harinen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Jaakko Lamminen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paksal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaakko Lamminen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kaapro Tuominen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miska Helavuori in the 42nd minute of play forced Paksal FC's goalkeeper Kari Harinen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kari Harinen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joonatan Miettinen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Jukka Siponen made the kick off in the second half. Kaapro Tuominen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jukka Siponen's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Kari Harinen made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Joonatan Miettinen sent off a good shot on target. Joonatan Miettinen was extremely unlucky when he, in the 61st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Miska Helavuori sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jukka Siponen in the 69th minute of play forced Lindal IFK's goalkeeper Kaapro Tuominen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kari Harinen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joonatan Miettinen in the 72nd minute. Joonatan Miettinen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joonatan Miettinen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kari Harinen having to interfere. In the 82nd minute Miska Helavuori shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kari Harinen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jukka Siponen struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Kaapro Tuominen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paksal FC. Kaapro Tuominen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jukka Siponen in the 85th minute of play. Kaapro Tuominen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jukka Siponen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 88 played minutes Lindal IFK got a freekick which was hit by Juha-Pekka Jämsänen. Kaapro Tuominen came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Paksal FC's Jaakko Lamminen. But to his dismay, Jaakko Lamminen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaakko Lamminen in the 92nd minute of play forced Lindal IFK's goalkeeper Kaapro Tuominen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Paksal FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lindal IFK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
