Esa Kuuttinen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antti Virta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Risto Tuominen having to interfere. Kalle Kärnä charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kalle Kärnä the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Äetsä FC booed when Amurin Tiikerit FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kalle Kärnä didn't get a good kick on the ball. Risto Tuominen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antti Virta in the 19th minute of play. Henrik Kaarniemi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kalle Kärnä blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Risto Tuominen having to make a save. In the 28th minute, Kalle Kärnä got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Amurin Tiikerit FC's Vilho Saravo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esa Kuuttinen in the 31st minute of play. Kalle Kärnä sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Esa Kuuttinen fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Vilho Saravo, passed just outside the right post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Esa Kuuttinen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Amurin Tiikerit FC got a freekick which was hit by Antti Virta. After a defensive mix-up in Amurin Tiikerit FC's zone, Esa Kuuttinen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vilho Saravo came out of the goal and Esa Kuuttinen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Esa Kuuttinen came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Äetsä FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Esa Kuuttinen couldn't finish the play. Henrik Kaarniemi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Eetu Paananen fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Amurin Tiikerit FC's protests and gave Eetu Paananen a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Äetsä FC booed when Amurin Tiikerit FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eetu Paananen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 60 minutes, Kalle Kärnä managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Amurin Tiikerit FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kalle Kärnä was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Risto Tuominen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antti Virta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reko Nyrhinen during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd minute, Reko Nyrhinen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th play minute Kalle Kärnä came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Risto Tuominen. 0-1. When Reko Nyrhinen was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 72 minutes had been played. Reko Nyrhinen hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Amurin Tiikerit FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sami Kautonen in the 75th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henrik Kaarniemi during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 81st match minute, Äetsä FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henrik Kaarniemi to maneuver through the defense. In the 84th minute, Kalle Kärnä ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Risto Tuominen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. A collision led to Äetsä FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Aleksi Haarala hit a great ball. Antti Virta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
