Guido Rosio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 6th minute, Patrik Puutio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 9 played minutes Haaga got a freekick which was hit by Guido Rosio. 12 minutes into the match, Valentin Sjöberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tero Kallio. Imatran palloseura's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valentin Sjöberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Eetu Haapaniemi kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, Haaga's goal looked a bit too open when Eetu Haapaniemi came free, but Jussi Heinikainen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tero Kallio was a little too slow when Valentin Sjöberg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 28th minute, Veikka Raukko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tero Kallio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julius Timmonen, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Veikka Raukko kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Tarmo Lagerblom shot from long distance after 31 played minutes, a shot that Tero Kallio with certain difficulty stopped from going in under the crossbar. Jussi Heinikainen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrik Puutio in the 36th minute of the match. Julius Huttunen might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jussi Heinikainen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Julius Huttunen ran back to his position shaking his head. Jussi Heinikainen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrik Puutio, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After some careless play in the Imatran palloseura defense, Valentin Sjöberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tero Kallio. The Imatran palloseura fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tero Kallio should have stopped the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valentin Sjöberg was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Haaga's goalkeeper Jussi Heinikainen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patrik Puutio. In the 53rd minute, Patrik Puutio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Imatran palloseura fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. If Eetu Haapaniemi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tero Kallio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Rosio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jussi Heinikainen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julius Huttunen in the 67th minute. In the 69th minute, Imatran palloseura's Julius Huttunen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jussi Heinikainen. Jussi Heinikainen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. Patrik Puutio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th minute, Guido Rosio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Haaga fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. If Valentin Sjöberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute Guido Rosio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tero Kallio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guido Rosio scored 5-2 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tero Kallio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Haaga walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
