Esa Salmi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tony Murto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vihtori Alatalo had great luck who in the 7thth minute grab hold of the ball when Marko Mäntylä from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Jyrki Vento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vihtori Alatalo having to interfere. A hard shot 22 in the game by Marko Mäntylä from a close distance when the talented Vihtori Alatalo managed to make a qualified save. Kassor IFK's players were relieved. Asko Pihlajamäki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vihtori Alatalo having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Akkala FC's goal looked a bit too open when Toni Puurunen came free, but Esa Salmi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vihtori Alatalo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jyrki Vento went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Marko Mäntylä was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 45th minute. Akkala FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Vihtori Alatalo came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Akkala FC's Marko Mäntylä. But to his dismay, Marko Mäntylä quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. After a rather tough play, Kassor IFK's Kimmo Koskinen got a free kick in the 55th minute. Asko Pihlajamäki might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vihtori Alatalo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Asko Pihlajamäki ran back to his position shaking his head. 58 minutes into the match, Marko Mäntylä had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vihtori Alatalo. Kassor IFK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marko Mäntylä was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. After 61 minutes of play, Akkala FC's Marko Mäntylä made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vihtori Alatalo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vihtori Alatalo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jyrki Vento in the 66th minute of the match. Vihtori Alatalo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marko Mäntylä's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Jyrki Vento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Vihtori Alatalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute Jyrki Vento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vihtori Alatalo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Jyrki Vento sped through Kassor IFK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vihtori Alatalo. After a defensive mix-up in Akkala FC's zone, Tony Murto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esa Salmi came out of the goal and Tony Murto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kassor IFK's Vihtori Alatalo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jyrki Vento in the 83rd minute of play. Jyrki Vento scored 9-0 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vihtori Alatalo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 91st minute Marko Mäntylä shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vihtori Alatalo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Akkala FC had played much better football throughout.
