The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of PR Merkkausvirhe booed when FC Surnu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidoro Nuxila's late challenge caught a PR Merkkausvirhe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isidoro Nuxila helped the player get up and apologised. PR Merkkausvirhe's Jalmari Karhunen was substituted for Joonas Pärssinen. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 43rd minute of the game. One of PR Merkkausvirhe:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Surnu:s goal. When the match had been going on for 45 minutes, FC Surnu's Rauli Järventie got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Akseli Sulku. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Isidoro Nuxila was the one to do the kick off. FC Surnu were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after PR Merkkausvirhe's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rauli Järventie took the corner. FC Surnu's Rauli Järventie was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Akseli Sulku in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Miro Uotila was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 68 minutes had been played. Miro Uotila kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. If Osmo Hakanen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jalmari Karhunen kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Isidoro Nuxila struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Akseli Sulku didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Surnu. After having played for 86 minutes, Isidoro Nuxila managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Surnu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidoro Nuxila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Surnu fully deserved thier win.
