The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sten Beton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pentti Halminen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sten Beton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pentti Halminen, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Pentti Halminen succeeded in the game's 12th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. When Petteri Murto came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Gnössyksen Soturit fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Petteri Murto couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Petteri Murto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Filomeno Fiz was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Petteri Murto took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Filomeno Fiz to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Petteri Murto got free with Filomeno Fiz in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 31st match minute, Gnössyksen Soturit was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tosin Abazi to maneuver through the defense. After 36 minutes, Ahti Puurunen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kosamo FC and the Gnössyksen Soturit players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ahti Puurunen hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Noel Zanette could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Filomeno Fiz made a huge save. Kosamo FC's Filomeno Fiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petteri Murto in the 46th minute of play. Vesa Kinnaslampi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sten Beton. Gnössyksen Soturit's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Petteri Murto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aarre Saastamoinen got a throw-in 51 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Aarre Kylmänen. Petteri Murto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 57th minute Pentti Halminen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sten Beton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Noel Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petteri Murto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Filomeno Fiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kosamo FC's Aarre Saastamoinen quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Niko Tranberg, made in the 65th minute of the game. In the 66th play minute Pentti Halminen came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Sten Beton. 1-3. Pentti Halminen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Sten Beton made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Kosamo FC's zone, Noel Zanette stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filomeno Fiz came out of the goal and Noel Zanette tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Petteri Murto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Petteri Murto put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Filomeno Fiz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pentti Halminen in the 83rd minute of play forced Gnössyksen Soturit's goalkeeper Sten Beton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Miikka Elovaara could shoot a difficult shot in the 87th minute, which Sten Beton however easily saved by the left post. 88 minutes into the match, Pentti Halminen notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Gnössyksen Soturit's Sten Beton. Sten Beton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sten Beton came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Kosamo FC's Pentti Halminen. But to his dismay, Pentti Halminen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. Kosamo FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
