Anssi Furuholm started the match with the kick off. Taavi Varis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anssi Furuholm in the 6th minute of the match. In the 48th minute, Ossi Kuokkanen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Petri Rantala to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lauri Peuhkuri in the 95th minute of play forced FC Andreas's goalkeeper Kepa Blanco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Andreas's zone, Lauri Peuhkuri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kepa Blanco came out of the goal and Lauri Peuhkuri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Andreas eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
