Spectators: 7560 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1960, VIP seats: 100) In the 5th minute Kristian Palolahti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aatto Santala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Vastineskoski's Toimi Lindfors got a free kick in the 5th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Vastineskoski's zone, Kristian Palolahti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aatto Santala came out of the goal and Kristian Palolahti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vastineskoski's Aatto Santala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kalevi Vappula in the 8th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Lauri Heliskoski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jere Pitkänen. Wänkä's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lauri Heliskoski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Aatami Raukko kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Kalevi Vappula got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th minute, Santeri Hassinen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lauri Heliskoski in the 22nd minute of play forced Wänkä's goalkeeper Jere Pitkänen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Wänkä's Jere Pitkänen got control of the ball when Anttoni Koivisto tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 26th minute, Kristian Palolahti ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aatto Santala was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aatami Raukko during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Wänkä made a substitution. Aapo Lahtinen replaced Kalevi Vappula. Aatami Raukko kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Aapo Lahtinen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 40 minutes, Kristian Palolahti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wänkä's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kristian Palolahti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41stth minute of the game Lauri Heliskoski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wänkä's Jere Pitkänen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Wänkä's goal looked a bit too open when Lauri Heliskoski came free, but Jere Pitkänen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute Kristian Palolahti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aatto Santala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aatto Santala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aapo Lahtinen, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anttoni Koivisto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Aapo Lahtinen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wänkä's supporters rose to their feet, but Aapo Lahtinen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aatto Santala breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 53 minutes into the match, Vastineskoski's goal looked a bit too open when Santeri Hassinen came free, but Aatto Santala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jere Pitkänen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anttoni Koivisto in the 56th minute of play. Aatto Santala made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Kristian Palolahti sent off a good shot on target. Aapo Lahtinen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Aatto Santala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Vastineskoski defense, Kristian Palolahti kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aatto Santala. The Vastineskoski fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aatto Santala should have stopped the shot. 67 minutes into the match, Vastineskoski's goal looked a bit too open when Aapo Lahtinen came free, but Aatto Santala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aatto Santala made an important save on a dangerous shot by Keefe Powell in the 74th minute. 76 minutes into the game, Kristian Palolahti recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aatto Santala. Kristian Palolahti showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-4. With a little luck, Vastineskoski's Aatto Santala got control of the ball when Santeri Hassinen tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match was over Wänkä could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Vastineskoski throughout the match.
