Spectators: 9222 (Terracing: 6918, Seating: 2121, VIP seats: 183) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Raimo Sinisalo started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes Academy got a freekick which was hit by Sulho Jansson. Ohto Lyytikäinen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sampsa Lätti having to interfere. After some careless play in the Academy defense, Ossi Nurmi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sampsa Lätti. The Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sampsa Lätti should have stopped the shot. Sampsa Lätti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iisakki Nyrhinen, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The audience was convinced that Iisakki Nyrhinen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sampsa Lätti was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. In the 29th minute of the match Solvik got a corner. Academy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Erkki Salonen ran over to the corner to take the kick. Iisakki Nyrhinen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 37th minute, Iisakki Nyrhinen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sampsa Lätti was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Erkki Salonen scored 0-4 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sampsa Lätti, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

In the 52nd match minute, Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aki Viitala to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Academy's Sampsa Lätti got control of the ball when Erkki Salonen tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 54 played minutes Academy got a freekick which was hit by Veli Kirjonen. Iisakki Nyrhinen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Sampsa Lätti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sampsa Lätti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ossi Nurmi in the 61st minute. Sampsa Lätti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iisakki Nyrhinen, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Sampsa Lätti stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iisakki Nyrhinen's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Sampsa Lätti came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Solvik's Ossi Nurmi. But to his dismay, Ossi Nurmi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. In the 69th minute, Iisakki Nyrhinen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Paul Tähtinen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute Olli-Pekka Brinck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sampsa Lätti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Iisakki Nyrhinen fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Sampsa Lätti, passed just outside the right post. The audience was convinced that Iisakki Nyrhinen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sampsa Lätti was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. After taking down the ball on Solvik's corner Olli-Pekka Brinck fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sampsa Lätti quite easily take care of the ball. Iisakki Nyrhinen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sampsa Lätti having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Solvik's Iisakki Nyrhinen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sampsa Lätti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ossi Nurmi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Sampsa Lätti made a huge save. Iisakki Nyrhinen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sampsa Lätti was a little too slow when Ossi Nurmi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 0-6. Solvik's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
