The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sakari Murto struck a weak shot in the 2nd minute. Mateusz Jajesniak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Helsinki Raptors. The crowd rose to their feet as Timo Turpeinen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ale Eloranta. That made the score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. In the 7th minute, Erno Hiltunen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Veeti Mäkinen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Kuisma Lundell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aarre Kuusela's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ale Eloranta firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ale Eloranta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timo Turpeinen in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Helsinki Raptors's goalkeeper Ale Eloranta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kuisma Lundell. In the 18th play minute Kuisma Lundell came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ale Eloranta. 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kuisma Lundell got free with Ale Eloranta in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Reijo Harjanne hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the match, Helsinki Raptors's goalkeeper Ale Eloranta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aarre Kuusela. A nice corner shot did that Kuisma Lundell got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ale Eloranta quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 29 minutes, Erno Hiltunen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Helsinki Raptors and the Toukola players grew even worse after the yellow card. Erno Hiltunen hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Antti Parkkali managed to get in a good position for a shot. Helsinki Raptors's supporters rose to their feet, but Antti Parkkali was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mateusz Jajesniak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Toukola's Mateusz Jajesniak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erno Hiltunen in the 38th minute of play. In the 42nd match minute, Helsinki Raptors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erno Hiltunen to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 47 in the game by Kuisma Lundell from a close distance when the talented Ale Eloranta managed to make a qualified save. Helsinki Raptors's players were relieved. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Sakari Murto made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Reijo Harjanne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ale Eloranta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 60th minute Reijo Harjanne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateusz Jajesniak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ale Eloranta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aarre Kuusela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 67 played minutes Helsinki Raptors got a freekick which was hit by Reijo Harjanne. Timo Turpeinen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Ale Eloranta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Helsinki Raptors made a substitution. Lasse Hahl replaced Tino Piekkanen. In the 76th match minute, Toukola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tamás Faragó to maneuver through the defense. Aki Trehkopf scored 2-1 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mateusz Jajesniak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Ossi Timonen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute Erno Hiltunen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateusz Jajesniak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Helsinki Raptors's goal looked a bit too open when Aarre Kuusela came free, but Ale Eloranta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toukola's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
