The audience thought a goal was coming when Juho Marttinen got free with Olli Lehtilä in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pojo's Keijo Järvensivu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Olli Lehtilä in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 17th minute Kustaa Esala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kauno Timmonen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Onni Varis lost his temper 19 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Onni Varis hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Pojo's goalkeeper Kauno Timmonen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kustaa Esala in the 26th minute of play forced Pojo's goalkeeper Kauno Timmonen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute Salomon Raita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kauno Timmonen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute Rauno Tukio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kauno Timmonen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rikhard Alatalo made a kick off. Saverio Benat received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kauno Timmonen came out and tried to block the shot, but Saverio Benat slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Keijo Järvensivu in the 55th minute of play forced Liverpool FC's goalkeeper Olli Lehtilä to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Salomon Raita in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kauno Timmonen saved Pojo from getting behind. Pojo's Kauno Timmonen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Pojo from getting a goal against them. Kauno Timmonen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salomon Raita in the 61st minute of the match. A collision led to Pojo getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Erno Myllyniemi hit a great ball. If Salomon Raita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 68 played minutes Liverpool FC got a freekick which was hit by Rauno Tukio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Keijo Järvensivu in the 71st minute of play forced Liverpool FC's goalkeeper Olli Lehtilä to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kauno Timmonen was out of position in the 73 minute of play, and Rauno Tukio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rauno Tukio really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Olli Lehtilä took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rikhard Alatalo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kauno Timmonen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Salomon Raita's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Rikhard Alatalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olli Lehtilä having to interfere. 90 minutes into the game, Pojo's Rikhard Alatalo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Olli Lehtilä made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Liverpool FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
