After some careless play in the Liverpool FC defense, Keijo Järvensivu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juhapekka Snellman. The Liverpool FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juhapekka Snellman should have stopped the shot. In the 27th minute Pentti Ojala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kauno Timmonen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute Erno Myllyniemi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juhapekka Snellman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

In the 70th minute Ilari Kuokkanen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juhapekka Snellman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd match minute, Liverpool FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurențiu Pora to maneuver through the defense. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
