With a little luck, Subayh's Nabil Samy got control of the ball when Gaafar Nayef tried to sneak it across the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Subayh's goal looked a bit too open when Shaker Hamdy came free, but Nabil Samy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Subayh getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Nayef Nagy hit a great ball. If Bahaa Nedal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shaker Hamdy was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 23rd minute. Zamalek SC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The supporters of Zamalek SC booed when Subayh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamada Riad didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 26 minutes of play, Zamalek SC's Gaafar Nayef made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nabil Samy was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Subayh's Hamada Riad got a free kick in the 29th minute. Gaafar Nayef recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Subayh's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Shaker Hamdy scored to the left of an out of position Nabil Samy, making the score, 2-0. In the 35th match minute, Zamalek SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kamel Hakeem to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute Shaker Hamdy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nabil Samy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Subayh defense, Shaker Hamdy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nabil Samy. The Subayh fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nabil Samy should have stopped the shot. If Sallam Nasir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rabie Aaser kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Subayh's defense didn't have a chance, in the 48th minute, when Shaker Hamdy scored to the left of an out of position Nabil Samy, making the score, 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Shaker Hamdy to strike the kick off in the second half. If Shaker Hamdy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. Nabil Samy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Gaafar Nayef sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shaker Hamdy in the 65th minute of play forced Subayh's goalkeeper Nabil Samy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alaa Yasser stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sallam Nasir's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Gaafar Nayef received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Nabil Samy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bahaa Nedal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bahaa Nedal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Alaa Yasser made a huge save. Hamada Riad kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the game, Anwar Fadel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Subayh's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zamalek SC the free kick. Shaker Hamdy struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Nabil Samy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zamalek SC. Gaafar Nayef struck a weak shot in the 87th minute.
