Armin Hermaste hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Christian Rosén kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 28th match minute, Salme was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Edvin Ahlfors to maneuver through the defense. Salme's Kaijo Lame played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raivo Tarand in the 29th minute of play. A collision led to ac varrukad getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Aron Ehrlich hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ivo Rüütel during the 32nd minute. Christian Rosén blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fred Ülesoo having to make a save. In the 36th minute Aron Ehrlich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaijo Lame saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aron Ehrlich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute Aron Ehrlich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaijo Lame saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raivo Tarand was the one to do the kick off. When Janek Karikas fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salme's protests and gave Janek Karikas a yellow card for diving instead. After 57 played minutes Salme got a freekick which was hit by Janek Karikas. In the 58th minute, Jaan Teras sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Salme's Kaijo Lame didn't even have to move. Agur Rännu's late challenge caught a Salme's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Agur Rännu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd minute, Agur Rännu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christian Rosén in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fred Ülesoo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aron Ehrlich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Kaijo Lame tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, ac varrukad's Aron Ehrlich sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kaijo Lame narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Salme's Kaijo Lame got control of the ball when Aron Ehrlich tried to sneak it across the goal line. Raivo Tarand blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kaijo Lame having to make a save. If Raivo Tarand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Raivo Tarand fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Kaijo Lame, passed just outside the right post. 87 minutes into the game, Raivo Tarand recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kaijo Lame. Raivo Tarand showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. ac varrukad's Aron Ehrlich got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Aron Ehrlich came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the ac varrukad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aron Ehrlich couldn't finish the play. When the match was over ac varrukad could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Salme throughout the match.
