In the 9th match minute, AS MILAN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pavel Ülisoo to maneuver through the defense. Eikki Oha, 10 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kalle Hennoste during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of AS MILAN booed when Dynamit CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kalle Hennoste didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lembit Noorsalu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heiko Hirv in the 16th minute of play. A collision led to Dynamit CF getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Kalle Hennoste hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Timo Aluste's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kalju Ots was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Heiko Hirv fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lembit Noorsalu having to interfere. Tarvi Voolaid might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kalju Ots. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tarvi Voolaid ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the AS MILAN defense, Tarvi Voolaid kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kalju Ots. The AS MILAN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kalju Ots should have stopped the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Kalju Ots showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timo Aluste in the 53rd minute of the match. Eerik Vananurk hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Timo Aluste recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kalju Ots made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Tarvi Voolaid sent off a good shot on target. Tarvi Voolaid fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kalju Ots having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Timo Aluste put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Kalju Ots. In the 66th minute Heiko Hirv shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lembit Noorsalu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute, Kalle Hennoste left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dynamit CF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 74th minute, Tarmo Lätti ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lembit Noorsalu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Dynamit CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tarvi Voolaid was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
