With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osvald Valu in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kristjan Rõõm saved Viru Veri from getting behind. Üllar Ubar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Kristjan Rõõm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Taavet Õigus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Taavi Virumaa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Simo Emane sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Viru Veri's Kristjan Rõõm didn't even have to move. 19 minutes into the game, Aksel Hurm was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Viru Veri's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Nova United the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 18th minute of the game. One of Viru Veri:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Nova United:s goal. When Ailar Traat fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Nova United's protests and gave Ailar Traat a yellow card for diving instead. After 26 played minutes, Viru Veri's Peep Vool shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Taavi Virumaa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Viru Veri reached it. When Aapo Hiisjärv fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Nova United's protests and gave Aapo Hiisjärv a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th match minute, FC Nova United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aapo Hiisjärv to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute, Viru Veri's Rene Veski seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rene Veski the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Viru Veri protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rene Veski had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Viru Veri fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! In the 34th minute, Guido Alla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Nova United's goalkeeper Taavi Virumaa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Guido Alla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Raigo Einla managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Nova United's supporters rose to their feet, but Raigo Einla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kristjan Rõõm breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Viru Veri's zone, Üllar Ubar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kristjan Rõõm came out of the goal and Üllar Ubar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Guido Alla to strike the kick off in the second half. Peedu Käärt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, FC Nova United's Taavi Virumaa got control of the ball when Guido Alla tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 59th minute, Peedu Käärt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guido Alla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Taavi Virumaa made a huge save. Üllar Ubar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Osvald Valu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Viru Veri booed when FC Nova United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raigo Einla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Taavi Virumaa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guido Alla in the 86th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvald Valu in the 94th minute of play forced Viru Veri's goalkeeper Kristjan Rõõm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Osvald Valu struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Kristjan Rõõm didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Nova United.
