Jüri Käärt came free with the goalkeeper in the 7th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ilmar Abel could save by the left post. Martti Kont showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdo Olumets in the 12th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Saksikyulya's Jaanek Valgupera sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martti Kont narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Saksikyulya's supporters crossed their fingers, but Volli Olev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Karlova getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Avo Valvik hit a great ball. After 45 played minutes Saksikyulya got a freekick which was hit by Rein Teller. The Karlova players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Saksikyulya were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valdo Olumets to make the kick off. Aivar Jors kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Karlova's goalkeeper Martti Kont had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Toomas Antsov.
