If Kiur Kaljumäe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ülo Kulu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Eesik, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Kiur Kaljumäe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Rando Laada fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SK Soela's protests and gave Rando Laada a yellow card for diving instead. Ülo Kulu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Eesik in the 25th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Tups's Jaanus Urvet got a free kick in the 28th minute. The supporters of SK Soela booed when FC Tups was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kristofer Veiderma didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ants Hull was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Albert Eesik came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the SK Soela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albert Eesik couldn't finish the play. August Luige struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Ülo Kulu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SK Soela. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Kiur Kaljumäe got free with Ants Hull in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. SK Soela were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
