Juhan Karp came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Varkja's Eiko Vilberg. But to his dismay, Eiko Vilberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Agur Paber kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Härmo Vikat. That made the score 1-1 in the 7 minute of play. Taimo Haas charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Taimo Haas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th match minute, fc Kauksi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Taimo Haas to maneuver through the defense. After 19 played minutes Varkja got a freekick which was hit by Silver Veskur. After 22 played minutes fc Kauksi got a freekick which was hit by Jörgen Reismaa. If Eiko Vilberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juhan Karp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaspar Niitsoo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to fc Kauksi getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Ardo Uustalu hit a great ball. Taimo Haas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Härmo Vikat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Väino Aasa kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute Eiko Vilberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juhan Karp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 50th minute fc Kauksi were awarded a corner. Jan Nemvalts went to the cornerflag to take it. fc Kauksi's Jan Nemvalts was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Härmo Vikat in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 54th match minute, Varkja was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sten Rohi to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Varkja's Neeme Allikmäe got a free kick in the 56th minute. Juhan Karp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaspar Niitsoo in the 59th minute of play. After 60 minutes, Jörgen Reismaa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the fc Kauksi and the Varkja players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eiko Vilberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Juhan Karp made a huge save. 67 minutes into the game, Silver Allikmäe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. fc Kauksi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Varkja the free kick. Silver Allikmäe hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. 71 minutes into the match, Varkja's goal looked a bit too open when Taimo Haas came free, but Härmo Vikat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Härmo Vikat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agur Paber in the 81st minute of play. Härmo Vikat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Taimo Haas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agur Paber in the 86th minute of play forced Varkja's goalkeeper Härmo Vikat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. fc Kauksi's Juhan Karp proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save fc Kauksi from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Varkja booed when fc Kauksi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronald Jahe didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eiko Vilberg got free with Juhan Karp in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kaspar Niitsoo struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Juhan Karp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Varkja.
