Spectators: 7515 (Terracing: 5637, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jan Lille kicked off to start the match. With a little luck, Varkja's Härmo Vikat got control of the ball when Ander Arro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Härmo Vikat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Lille in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute Jan Lille shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Härmo Vikat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9thth minute of the game Eiko Vilberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Viru Wõitlejad's Väino Keskküla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Viru Wõitlejad's Väino Keskküla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eiko Vilberg in the 19th minute of play. The supporters of Varkja booed when Viru Wõitlejad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egon Eesti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Varkja's Silver Veskur couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 26th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Viru Wõitlejad. Kaspar Niitsoo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Väino Keskküla having to interfere. The goalkeeper, Härmo Vikat, was totally fooled by Viru Wõitlejad's Egon Eesti, who 34 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Varkja's Härmo Vikat proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Varkja from getting a goal against them. Eiko Vilberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Viru Wõitlejad's zone, Eiko Vilberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Väino Keskküla came out of the goal and Eiko Vilberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 52nd minute Jan Lille shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Härmo Vikat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 53 minutes, Ander Arro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Viru Wõitlejad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ander Arro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Väino Aasa kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Haarald Oidra's late challenge caught a Viru Wõitlejad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Haarald Oidra helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Varkja's Haarald Oidra got a free kick in the 62nd minute. After 70 minutes, Neeme Allikmäe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Varkja and the Viru Wõitlejad players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Viru Wõitlejad booed when Varkja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Neeme Allikmäe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Egon Eesti, 71 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Väino Aasa fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Varkja's protests and gave Väino Aasa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 77th minute, Väino Aasa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ander Arro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Väino Keskküla came out of the goal and Eiko Vilberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eiko Vilberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Viru Wõitlejad succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Varkja had controlled the match.
