In the 42nd minute of the match, Themistoklis Kilaidonis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tarmo Raha saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 43rd minute, Continental's Cristi Şuţu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
