Gabriel Rajamäe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mihkel Äike read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Kungla's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edvin Lilleväli was slow to take the kick. During this time Haljala's players had a chance to rest. Mihkel Äike took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Dobrițoiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Haljala were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after FC Kungla's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edvin Lilleväli took the corner. Kaido Leppik struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Mihkel Äike didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Haljala. In the 38th minute, Tom Püss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the game, Adam Dobrițoiu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mihkel Äike. Adam Dobrițoiu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paul Põhjala to make the kick off.
