In the 23rd minute Eevald Vaarmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ain Averin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ain Averin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eevald Vaarmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After 25 played minutes ASC Sikeldi got a freekick which was hit by Aivar Kikerpill. ASC Sikeldi's Adolf Kiisk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save ASC Sikeldi from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kaido Jaas in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adolf Kiisk saved ASC Sikeldi from getting behind. Adolf Kiisk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hardi Lind in the 28th minute. Ain Averin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eevald Vaarmann in the 32nd minute of play. ASC Sikeldi's Adolf Kiisk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaido Jaas in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Joosep Hindremäe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute Samuel Valgma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ain Averin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ain Averin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herbert Vaagen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso March in the 46th minute of play forced FC Dundee's goalkeeper Ain Averin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

FC Dundee made a substitution. Edvin Hargi replaced Kaido Jaas. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adolf Kiisk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arno Luuk, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Ain Averin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Herbert Vaagen in the 72nd minute. FC Dundee's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ASC Sikeldi the free kick. A collision led to FC Dundee getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Arno Luuk hit a great ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
