Agis Sakelaris came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Kastanéa BC's Priamos Makrodimitris. But to his dismay, Priamos Makrodimitris quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Alkestis Maragos made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Daidalos Logarakis sent off a good shot on target. Michalis Bourikas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alkestis Maragos came out and tried to block the shot, but Michalis Bourikas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 20th minute. Agis Sakelaris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stergios Kalogeria in the 25th minute of play. Aktaion Mitsinikos might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Agis Sakelaris. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aktaion Mitsinikos ran back to his position shaking his head. Agis Sakelaris stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Priamos Makrodimitris's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Alkinoos Kokkali hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute Priamos Makrodimitris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agis Sakelaris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michalis Bourikas got free with Alkestis Maragos in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Michalis Bourikas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alkestis Maragos. That made the score 2-1 in the 37 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Aipytos Kapataidakis took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Alkestis Maragos to make any attempt to save it. Alkestis Maragos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Michalis Bourikas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-1 in the 43 minute of play. The supporters of Kastanéa BC booed when ELLAS F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alkinoos Kokkali didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.
