But to his dismay, Cristiano Sans quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 23 minutes into the match, Vaios Mavromichalis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Akrisios Vlahos. APOEL FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vaios Mavromichalis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After having played for 35 minutes, Vaios Mavromichalis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iraklis fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vaios Mavromichalis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Priamos Moundalexakis kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Akrisios Vlahos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vaios Mavromichalis, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Akrisios Vlahos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Koronis Diamantopoulos in the 39th minute of play. Akrisios Vlahos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Areion Kalogiannis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st match minute, APOEL FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Polybos Dounias to maneuver through the defense. Iraklis fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vaios Mavromichalis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in APOEL FC's zone, Vaios Mavromichalis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Akrisios Vlahos came out of the goal and Vaios Mavromichalis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Akrisios Vlahos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristiano Sans showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 65 minute of play. If Vaios Mavromichalis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the game, Aipytos Metrofanis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Iraklis fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave APOEL FC the free kick. Aipytos Metrofanis hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. A collision led to Iraklis fc getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Koronis Diamantopoulos hit a great ball. When Ilias Paschalis came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Iraklis fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ilias Paschalis couldn't finish the play. After having played for 79 minutes, Charis Calogerakis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iraklis fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charis Calogerakis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Priamos Moundalexakis was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 81 minutes had been played. Ilias Paschalis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Koronis Diamantopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Iraklis fc could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than APOEL FC throughout the match.
