Spectators: 9385 (Terracing: 7041, Seating: 2158, VIP seats: 186) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dardanos Papoutsis kicked off to start the match. Selçuk Eldem made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dardanos Papoutsis in the 8th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristo Martino kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Toni Lozano. That made the score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. Toni Lozano made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Lynkeus Galitsis sent off a good shot on target. 15 minutes into the match, Lynkeus Galitsis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Toni Lozano. SL Benfica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lynkeus Galitsis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Myrtilos Mersinias's late challenge caught a Karavostásis BC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Myrtilos Mersinias helped the player get up and apologised. Karavostásis BC made a substitution. Dimos Alexis replaced Eteokles Mitsinikos. After 21 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SL Benfica! When the match had been going on for 23 minutes, Karavostásis BC's Cristo Martino got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Toni Lozano. In the 29th match minute, SL Benfica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thanasis Panayiotopoulos to maneuver through the defense. Cristo Martino's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 30thth minute, Toni Lozano skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Lynkeus Galitsis took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Toni Lozano. Toni Lozano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. After 38 played minutes SL Benfica got a freekick which was hit by Dardanos Papoutsis. 39 minutes into the match, SL Benfica's goalkeeper Toni Lozano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lynkeus Galitsis. Karavostásis BC's Selçuk Eldem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dardanos Papoutsis in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st match minute, Karavostásis BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Guimarães to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristo Martino made a kick off. SL Benfica's Toni Lozano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristo Martino in the 54th minute of play. Toni Lozano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lynkeus Galitsis, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After 59 played minutes SL Benfica got a freekick which was hit by Lykomedes Egonidis. Toni Lozano came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Karavostásis BC's Dimos Alexis. But to his dismay, Dimos Alexis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. In the 64th match minute, SL Benfica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dardanos Papoutsis to maneuver through the defense. 66 minutes into the game, Karavostásis BC's Cristo Martino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Toni Lozano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. The supporters of SL Benfica booed when Karavostásis BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dimos Alexis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Giorgos Papastavrou scored 8-0 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Toni Lozano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lynkeus Galitsis in the 81st minute of play forced SL Benfica's goalkeeper Toni Lozano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dardanos Papoutsis in the 84th minute of play forced Karavostásis BC's goalkeeper Selçuk Eldem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Toni Lozano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lynkeus Galitsis in the 85th minute of play. Giorgos Papastavrou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Toni Lozano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, SL Benfica's goal looked a bit too open when Cristo Martino came free, but Toni Lozano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Karavostásis BC had played much better football throughout.
